Sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a mixture of sugar, lemon juice, and water.

Used by a skilled hand with the “sugar ball method”, this paste is applied to skin and pulled off in the direction of hair growth so as to eliminate ingrown hairs and skin irritation.

Threading is an ancient art of hair removal with thread that is twisted and manipulated to

pull hair from the root.

Threading  great for use on the delicate skin of the face as it does not remove any skin during the procedure, therefore it does not promote wrinkles.

It also works great for getting those pesky ear hairs on men.

Sugar paste is 100% natural made with sugar, lemon and water and made by Sugar Bare in Regina, SK.  The sugar paste is discarded after each treatment and there is no double dipping. Gloves are used at all times and tweezers are sterilized after each client. The sugar ball method is used and is safe and thorough.  Save $20.00 for every $100.00 worth of sugaring treatments.
 

Threading - Sugaring Alternative or Additional Technique

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal which originated in Persia and the Middle East, now gaining popularity in Western countries. Threading was originally practiced when a woman was getting married or during special occasions. In ancient Persia, threading was a sign that a girl had reached adulthood and become a woman.

Practitioners use a pure, thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled over untidy hairlines, moustaches and so on, plucking the hair at the follicle. Unlike tweezing, where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in a straighter line.

Like other methods of hair removal such as plucking or waxing, threading can result in skin irritation and ingrown hairs. However, as the top layers of skin are not peeled or traumatized, and if done properly, threading is an alternative for those with sensitive skin or who use Retin-A, Accutane, and similar products.
 

Before you sugar…

• Please do not wear lotion on the area to be sugared for
  24 hrs prior to treatment.

• Please trim hair with #1 trimmer for easier removal.

• Bring extra underwear for bikini sugaring as the paste can get on the underwear; it is easy to wash off at home but it is not fun to walk around feeling sticky!

• Please be extra clean for Brazilians and Manzilians so that it is a comfortable experience.

• Please be aware that any area that has been treated with laser hair removal cannot be sugared for six months after the last treatment.

After you sugar…

• Please do not have hot showers/baths or sun/tanning bed exposure for 24 hours.

• Exfoliate every other day after the first 24 hours.

• Keep skin moisturized with water based lotion and use witch hazel or tea tree oil as a soothing astringent / cleanser.

• Couples are welcome to have Brazilians/Manzilians together.
